About Shoes
We recommend shoes with the narrowest shoe width and thinnest soles possible among those available.
(Drivable shoes: within 300mm of outer length and 120mm of outer width)
Racing shoes used for driving formula cars (see photo above) are made with thin soles so that the driver can directly feel the information (vibration and pressure) from the pedals. The width of the shoe is narrower to ensure a good fit and to prevent mis-steps. The narrow width between the pedals eliminates dangerous mistakes such as stepping on the gas pedal with the little finger when moving the foot quickly from the gas pedal to the brake.
Focus on skill development
Focused practice on high difficulty points in the run-in
ADVANCE course
Intermediate to Advanced
The course is designed specifically to help students acquire the driving skills necessary for racing course driving and race entry. TOM’S has established its own evaluation standards (6 levels), which are focused on training young drivers, to ensure more reliable skill improvement. In addition to ensuring sufficient driving time, a time schedule is set up to ensure uninterrupted concentration. Using in-vehicle video and logger data, the curriculum is designed to realize precise coaching under the practice conditions that drivers participating in races are conducting. Because the car is driven on a pylon course, the same points such as chicanes and cornering can be practiced intensively, allowing for pinpoint repetitive practice that is not possible on a racing course. In addition, the possibility of contact with Safety fence, etc. is extremely low, so you can challenge your own limits safely and securely.
